A sprain is an injury to the soft tissues that support the spine, such as muscles, ligaments and tendons. When a bone in the spine cracks or breaks, it is called a fracture.

Patient:  19 year old woman who sustained L2 and L3 burst fractures from motor vehicle accident.
Treatment:  Lumbar instrumentation

Case Study 02 - Cervical Fracture
Patient:  129 year old male involved in surfing accident.
Treatment:  Anterior cervical corpectomy and fusion followed by posterior fusion with instrumentation
